City of  Pflugerville
MLS Area; PF

Strategically located between Austin and Round Rock, the Greater Pflugerville region is one of the fastes growing areas in Central Texas offering an educated and varied workforce from Northern Travis and Southern Williamson Counties. Our current regional population of 150,000, growth is projected at three to four percent annually over the next five to ten years.

Pflugerville Independent School District covers 100 square miles and for the past three years, has been a recognized school district by the Texas Education Agency based on academics and graduation statistics

With a strong sense of its German heritage, the Greater Pflugerville community sponsors several family-oriented activities and festivals throughout the year. The region also features a variety of housing, recreational facilities and transportation options for businesses and their employees.

Pflugerville maintains its community feeling because it hasn´t sprawled, and we have our own ?feel´ that´s very much our own?in fact, it´s very similar to the way people describe Westlake being its own area even though it´s close in proximity to Austin. People who move here want that?a small town feeling with the convenience of being near a big city, like Austin. It´s good to raise kids and have them grow up with all the advantages of a larger city, without having to sacrifice that close-knit feeling."

Part of that close-knit feeling is maintained by the annual neighborhood events sponsored by the city of Pflugerville. Like other small towns, Pflugerville has an annual city Christmas parade, and every May the city celebrates its German heritage with Deutschenfest.

Downtown area is one of the most unique in Texas, most of the downtown burned down in the late Seventies?the area was rebuilt and revitalized and now it´s home to specialty shops and live music venues, like Hanover´s.

Pflugerville also has Knebel´s Tavern downtown, also known to the locals around here as Tuff´s Tavern?after Tuff, who runs the place. It´s been open since they repealed Prohibition, and is a local landmark?it´s been featured in several publications, such as Texas Monthly.
